Getting to Fuerteventura El Matorral Airport

By Bus

The bus company on Fuerteventura is Tiadhe. There are three public bus lines connecting the airport and Puerto del Rosario, Line 3, 10 and 16. All three buses continue from the capital of the island to different tourist areas. The bus station at the airport is on the ground floor, by departures (Salidas). Single fare start at $1.63 (€1,40).

By Taxi

Licensed taxis are available at the rank outside the terminal to any location on the island. There are two types of fare: Weekdays rate from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., minimum $3.68 (€3,15) and $0.64 (€0,55)/km. Each hour of waiting costs $17.57 (€15,05) and Weekdays rate from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., weekends and holidays, minimum $4.03 (€3,45) and $0.74 (€0,63)/km. Waiting hour is $17.57 (€15,05). For journeys from or to Fuerteventura Airport there is an additional charge of $1.99 (€1,70).

By Car

Puerto del Rosario is 5,8 km from the airport. FV-2 is the fastest route.

Tiadhe

If you want to keep costs down , public bus is the best option. The bus company on Fuerteventura is Tiadhe. There are three public bus lines connecting the airport and Puerto del Rosario, Route 3, 10 and 16. Buses run every 15 minutes and single fare start at $1.63 (€1,40). Bus tickets at Fuerteventura Airport can be purchased from the bus driver, cash notes to be used for payment cannot exceed five times the amount of the fare to be paid and for security reasons drivers will not accept notes greater than € 50.

The Airport is located in the town of El Matorral, just five kilometres from the island capital of Puerto del Rosario and is Spain's tenth busiest airport. Fuerteventura Airport has a single terminal with 24 boarding gates. The Terminal operates with domestic and international flights. The expansion of the terminal, doubled the airport capacity and allowed it to handle eight million passengers per year.

Lounges

Jable Lounge, located on the second floor boarding area (P1), is available to Schengen and non-Schengen flights. The lounge opens daily from 6:00am to 9:00pm.

Holders of airline business class tickets and associated club cards may use the lounge as well as other passengers after payment of the corresponding fee in cash or by card. This lounge offers Refreshments, Office space, TV, Wi-Fi, press and magazines, and more.
