Getting to Faro Airport

The Frugal Option, Rideshare Apps.

If you're traveling in a group, creating new accounts for On Demand apps such as Uber, Cabify, Kapten, Free Now, and Bolt will get you free credit if you were referred by someone else rendering your rides much cheaper than any other option. From Faro Airport to Downtown Faro a ride will cost from $5 to $13, if you take into account you can get a credit from $3.20 to $6.40 for referring a friend or using a referral code, you can save big when moving around.

  • While there is just one terminal in Faro Airport, it is split in different levels. The ground floor is split into arrivals (on the west) and departures (on the east). On the mezzanine you'll find restaurants, a smoking lounge, and a police department. The airlines that operate at FAO are: Aer Lingus, Air Nostrum, Air Transat, Sata, BA CityFlyer, British Airways, Brussels Airlines, Corendon, easyJet, Edelweiss, EnterAir, Eurowings, Finnair, Icelandair, Jettime, Jet2, Lauda, Lufthansa, Luxair, Norwegian, RyanAir, SAS, TAP Portugal, Transaero, Transavia, TUI, Volotea, Vueling, Wizz.

In addition to Faro's own Duty Free shop, you'll find a curated selection of shops in varied categories such as Food (Relay, Sweet Colors), Fashion and Accessories (Attitude, Alle Hop, Parfois, Portfolio, Sunglass Hut, Swarovski, Victoria's Secret), and a press stand.

A selection of cafes, restaurants, and fast food joints, are available at Faro airport. Cafe shops include Costa Coffee, Delta, Paul, and Soho Coffee Co. For tapas and beer you can hit Carlsberg or Mulligans. Fast Food options include Burger King and Subway. The restaurant choice includes The Traveler's Rest, Rossopomodoro and Eating Point.

Car Parking

There is a general parking with a 10 minute tolerance during which parking is free of charge. After those initial ten minutes, parking is charged at $1.10 every 5 minutes up to one hour. After the initial hour, parking is charged at $3.30 every 5 minutes.

Lounges

The CIP Lounge offers passengers passing through FAO the opportunity to relax and unwind while they wait for their next flight. Located on the first level after clearing security checks. Baggage Storage

Faro Airport counts with lockers where you can store your luggage situated outside the terminal near the car park P5. The price for a small suitcase is $1.62 per hour (size 351mm X 457mm X 555mm), for medium size luggage $2.70 per hour (size 351mm X 945mm X 555mm) and for large size luggage $3.25 per hour (size 525mm X 945mm X 555mm). The minimum amount of time to rent the lockers is 4 hours. If you lose your receipt you will be charged the maximum fee of $21.50 per day.
