Many people find it hard to decide what towns are worth visiting if you don’t have many vacation days. Wellfleet, Truro, and Provincetown are considered “the soul of the Cape.” Wellfleet has great beaches like Marconi Beach, Mayo Beachand White Crest Beach; the town is also famous for its oysters. Truro is known for being quite a remote town, mostly preferred by adults to have a good old fashioned summer vacation. You can spend your days at the beach, hiking, climbing to the top of Highland Lighthouse, etc. In Provincetown, you have it all! You can enjoy sunny days at Race Point Beach or Herring Cove Beach. You can take long walks to Long Point or Beech Forest. Downtown you can enjoy great restaurant and also visit the Pilgrim Monument & Provincetown Museum.

The tricky part

Like a lot of summer vacation areas, during peak season Cape Cod can get very crowded and expensive due to high demand. Accommodations, goods, food and gas prices increase during peak season, June to September. The best time of the year to visit Cape Cod on a budget is during October.

There not really safety concerns while visiting Cape Cod, it's recommended to be aware of white sharks when swimming. Make sure to follow signs and purple shark flags warning when visiting the beach.
